Frequently Asked Questions

It is natural to be curious, so here are a few questions I receive often.

Q: Where do you get the wood for your art?

A: Almost all the wood I work on comes from my dad’s wood shop. Some of it is recycled wood from one of his projects and the rest comes from wood pieces he has collected over the years. All of it is sustainably sourced!

Q: Do you sell your work anywhere other than online?

A: Yes, you can now find my artwork at Mud Dabbers in Waynesville, NC, and I occasionally sell at markets which I share on my Instagram.

Q: Are you and Eco-friendly, Sustainable business?

A: I’m not perfect, but I do keep an eco-friendly mindset when running Wildlife Inspired Artistry. All the wood I use for my art is sustainably and locally sourced; I wright all my notes on handmade paper made from Kudzu, an invasive vine; and my packaging is either reused or made from 100% recyclable materials.

Q: Can I hang my art piece outside?

A: I do varnish all my pieces to protect the art underneath, but I can’t guarantee the art would be protected after extended exposure to the elements.

Q: Do you use a laser to burn your art?

A: No, I do all wood burning by hand with my pyrography tool.
